Rohit (Ro) Punyani formed Sequence Wealth Management in order to stay close to clients. Prior to co-founding Sequence Wealth Management and an insurance agency, Fusion Strategies (link), Ro has worked at larger organizations in various roles. Ro has served as Chief Investment Officer of the Wealth Management Division of United Bankshares Inc. ("United Bank"). At United Bank, Ro managed over approximately $4 billion across various asset classes, including managing an internal dividend stock portfolio for clients. Like his clients, Ro has always felt the entrepreneurial pull, in 2019 he launched Tides Edge Capital, a long/short systematic fund.
 

Ro also served as Chief Investment Officer for a multi-family office in Northern Virginia, managing and running both proprietary, systematic strategies and external investment relationships.

Prior to United Bank, Ro was a portfolio manager at Wilmington Trust, where he built customized portfolios for ultra-high net worth clients.

Mr. Punyani has extensive capital markets and equity research experience, having worked for a large cap mutual fund and a long/short hedge fund. Mr. Punyani earned his MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colby College where he graduated Cum Laude.
